Well this just warms our heart, especially after last week’s terrible news for law enforcement and our country.

Way to go Butte County Probation for making a difference! (in this way…BCP is always making a difference).

This is just another great outcome from the Independence Day 5k put on by the Chico Running Club. We’re so proud that CRC could provide the opportunity and looking forward to next year’s even bigger and better celebration.

Congratulations to Butte County Probation. Thanks for all that you do.

Our Camp Condor youth are at it again! On July 4th, a group of four young people imageand four officers participated in the (Chico Running Club) Independence Day 5K at Lower Bidwell Park. Everyone had a great time and the group performed very well:

Eduardo came in 2nd in his age group and was 7th overall male with a time of 20:57 (6:45 pace). He won a gift card to Dutch Bros. and shared his loot with the rest of the group on the way back to Oroville.

Despite a shoelace malfunction, David ran a solid 24:09 and was 4th in his age group. He is definitely interested in redeeming himself at the next race!

Tree was also 4th in her age group with a time of 34:30 and Shyanna was 5th in her age group, running a 37:51.

Probation Officer M. Gonzalez ran her 5k in 39:05, Probation Officer A. Dunas ran a 21:51, and Probation Officer C. Lara came in at 33:15.

After the race, everyone enjoyed dipping in the pool and hanging out in beautiful Lower Bidwell Park One Mile Recreation Area.
